ABOUT US

Thoughts from LeAnn

As a business woman, wife, and mother of two children, my thoughts about a homes decor are that a home can be strikingly beautiful and still be affordable.
That's why I love vintage textiles - they have a design, texture, and quality that isn't often found in textile design and manufacturing today - and often are more affordable.  For me and my family the secret to life is living like you mean it!- in other words, I've always tried to surrounded myself with beautiful things - appreciating the past in the present.   Simply put, home should make you happy!

As a confessed "linen addict", I love that intense flutter of excitement that I feel in my stomach when arriving at a flea market, tag sale, or estate sale.  I'm overwhelmed by the notion of giving new life to an old, tattered piece of furniture or resurrecting an abused printed vintage tablecloth, or admiring the fine woven pattern in a antique damask textile piece that I'm ironing.  My grandmother, mother and aunts have told many a story of their lives, the joys that they shared and the hardships that they endured.  Each story was complete with a full visual set-up of the location and how it was decorated - down to what each person might have been wearing.  I have attempted to recreate those stories through what I collect.  And without knowing it, they opened a door to an amazing glimpse of family culture and history for me. In doing so, gave me a jump start in developing my "eye" and, later, a means of earning a living.  I will be forever grateful for those women and their stories, and the gift of knowing who I am and what I came from.

I look forward to your visit!  I hope you enjoy your time here.
